Certification of Approval
The University of Montana is dedicated to maintaining the highest standards of biosafety in research, teaching, and all activities involving biological materials. This Biosafety Manual has been developed to provide clear guidance on the responsible handling of recombinant/synthetic DNA (r/sDNA), gene drive modified organisms, plants toxins, hazardous agents, infectious materials, and other biohazards.

The Institutional Biosafety Committee and Biosafety Officer at the University of Montana has reviewed and approved this document. This manual is required to be reviewed annually or updated when changes occur.
