Curriculum

The BSW Program requires that students take 35 credits of required social work courses.

In addition to social work courses students are required to take seven extra-departmental courses, four credits of upper division electives and all general education courses as required by the University of Montana.

A course of study for social work majors, including social work classes, extra-departmental requirements, and general education courses, can be found in the University of Montana Catalog under the School of Social Work section.

Students work with their Academic Advisor in planning their course of study, and may also enroll in a number of social work electives.

All of our social work course requirements are based on Student Learning Outcomes and Program Goals shaped by the Council of Social Work Education Educational and Accreditation Standards.
