Email Student Financial Services
Email your questions about billing and payments to studentaccounts@umontana.edu. Email questions about financial aid to faid@mso.umt.edu. We try to respond to all inquiries within seven business days. Response times may be longer during peak processing times.
To ensure the security of your information when communicating electronically, we recommend encrypting your emails before sending them to Student Financial Services. Please submit all documentation and sensitive information from your UM email.
Student Privacy and Personally Identifiable Information
Please note that the Family Educational Rights and Privacy Act (FERPA) protects the privacy of student education records. When contacting us, do not share personally identifiable information such as Social Security numbers, student ID numbers, or financial information via non-secured email. The Graham Leach Bliley Act imposes additional requirements on the handling of financial information.
