The Wilderness Management Graduate Certificate provides students and professionals with training and expertise to advance their careers in conservation and wilderness stewardship.
All courses offer graduate credits through the University of Montana.

What is a Graduate Certificate?
A Graduate Certificate is a shorter program (15-credits) focusing on a specific expertise. It does not result in a masters degree, but it can be completed alongside your current graduate degree to build a wilderness expertise into your current major. Or, many working professionals use the Graduate Certificate as a stand-alone credential to advance their career.
This certificates is a great way to build particular expertise, strengthen your resume, and gain practical experience in wilderness stewardship.
Courses
The Graduate Certificate consists of four courses.

| NRSM 561 Managing Wilderness Ecosystems | 4 |
| PTRM 562 Managing Recreation Resources in Wilderness Settings | 3 |
| NRSM 563 Wilderness Planning: Theory, Management Frameworks, and Application | 4 |
NRSM 560, 561, and PTRM 562 can be taken in any order, but NRSM 563 serves as a capstone and cannot be taken until the other three courses have been completed.
