Course Overview
Learn how to produce and market bee products commercially, from hive to table.
Participants will learn how to set up their apiary, manage hives, extract bee products, process honey and wax, manage food safety, and differentiate their products on the marketplace. By the end of this course, participants will be able to maximize their yields whether they are large-scale or backyard beekeepers.

This course is open for fixed dates, with new lectures and coursework due each week. You can find the times that work best for you each week to complete the coursework, but you must meet all of the deadlines outlined in the syllabus.
Structure and Location
This course is taught fully online through Canvas, the University of Montana’s online learning system. You must have access to an internet-connected computer to complete coursework. You must have successfully passed Apprentice Level Beekeeping or the Apprentice Test-Out to participate in this course.
