Develop a well-rounded technical background with coursework in data modeling, networking, operating systems, PC hardware, coding, programming, and more. This certificate is a subset of courses leading to the Associate of Applied Science in Information Technology and Cybersecurity.

    Legal Studies

    As the growth rate in the legal field is expanding, graduating students will have ample opportunities to pursue their career goals. The Legal Studies program will offer students the confidence, skills, and certification enabling them to a successful and thriving career in any area of law. The Legal Studies Certificate is a 1-year distance program that can be paired with an Associate of Arts (AA) or Associate of Science (AS) degree.

    Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN)

    Practical Nurses care for ill, injured, or convalescing patients or persons with disabilities in hospitals, nursing homes, clinics, private homes, group homes, and similar institutions. Practical Nurses work under the supervision of a Registered Nurse or other medical professionals. Practical Nurses require licensing in Montana through the state Board of Nursing. This certificate is stackable toward an Associate of Science Degree in Nursing (ASN) or a number of other Associate of Applied Science Degrees in the healthcare industry.

    Medical Reception

    The Medical Reception Certificate prepares students with the required skills to provide exceptional service to patients in a medical setting, ranging from private practice receptionists to hospital ward secretaries. Students learn how to perform essential duties in the area of communications, billing, and ethics. Upon completion of the program, students receive a Certificate of Applied Science and will be prepared to work as receptionists in healthcare facilities and physician offices. This certificate is stackable with a number of other healthcare degrees.

    Medical Claims Specialist

    Prepare yourself academically and professionally for claim specialist positions in insurance organizations and healthcare facilities. In this fast-track program, you will learn foundational skills to understand medical terminology and human biology, benefit plans and the claims process, and customer service skills to communicate and recommend claims action steps and prompt reimbursement. 

    Additionally graduates will work collaboratively with other team members to ensure the most positive service experience to both customers and vendors. On-the-job training and apprenticeships are possible in an “earn-while-you-learn” model. This certificate is stackable with a number of other healthcare degrees.
