Program Overview

The Certificate of Technical Studies in Cybersecurity is meant to provide students with practical knowledge and skills in cybersecurity, including knowledge about basic networking, operating systems, network administration, multiple aspects of cybersecurity, and the policy and legal ramifications of cybersecurity. The curriculum is aligned to the National Security Agency (NSA) National Centers of Academic Excellence in Cyber Defense (CAE-CD) curriculum Knowledge Units.

This certificate is a subset of courses leading to the Associate of Applied Science in Information Technology and Cybersecurity.

Missoula College is designated as a National Center of Academic Excellence in Cyber Defense (CAE-CD). Students completing this certificate will gain a notation on their transcripts recognizing this achievement and its relation to the CAE-CD curriculum.
