Publication & Acknowledgement
How To Cite CPHR Funded Research
To ensure consistent compliance with "Communicating and Acknowledging Federal Funding" guidelines, all CPHR sponsored work must use the federal funding acknowledgement:
"Research reported in this [publication/presentation] was supported by the National Institute of General Medical Sciences under Award Number P20GM130418. The content is solely the responsibility of the authors and does not necessarily represent the official views of NIGMS or NIH."
NIH Public Access Policy
All NIH-funded research, by federal law, must meet the NIH public access policy upon acceptance for publication in a journal. The NIH public access policy requires that peer-reviewed articles it funds be publicly available on PubMed Central (PMC) utilizing the appropriate submission method.
Foreign Components & Collaboration
Foreign Components are prohibited under the COBRE funding mechanism. This includes collaborations with foreign investigators resulting in co-authorship, without prior approval.
Per NOT-OD-26-026, prior approval requests for any publication co-authored with individual(s) affiliated with a foreign institution(s) must be initiated and submitted by a Signing Official (SO) via the eRA Commons Prior Approval Module. In addition to noting the foreign site and the name of the foreign investigator, the prior approval request should provide:
- Information about the nature of the research being conducted
- Why the involvement of the foreign site is necessary; and
- Whether any data will be transferred.
Uploading Publications to the CPHR Portal
CPHR Investigators and Core Team Members: Please add any new publications and review any previously entered ones (e.g., publication dates/status, PMCIDs, etc.) in the CPHR Portal. The CPHR-supported project associated with the publication should also be selected to link it correctly for RPPR reporting.
