AMP

AMP—Alliance for Minority Participation is funded to Salish Kootenai College.  In partnership with IRSE the AMP goal is to increase the number of Native American students successfully completing degrees in Science, Technology, Engineering, and Mathematics (STEM) fields. 

AMP Scholar Benefits

  • Eligible to receive academic financial support through paid stipend
  • Eligible to have travel expenses to approved STEM conferences reimbursed by ANAMP 
  • Eligible to participate in additional intern and research opportunities

Eligibility

  • Enrolled full time in an approved Science, Technology, Engineering or Mathematics disciplines at the University of Montana
  • Minimum of a 2.5 cumulative grade point average

AMP Application

In April 2014 three AMP students toured NASA's Jet Propulsion Laboratory under the expert guidance of Dr. Aaron Thomas.  All expenses for the trip were generously funded by AMP.
