In his time covering extremism, Druzin has talked to some of the most prominent militia movement leaders in the country, attended weapons training, militia rallies and interviewed the local leaders and activists pushing back against far-right movements.

Previously he spent more than six years on the ground in Iraq and Afghanistan covering the wars there for Stars and Stripes newspaper and before that worked for newspapers in California, Louisiana and Idaho. He was also a 2015-2016 Carter Center Mental Health Journalism Fellow.
