T. Anthony Pollner Distinguished Professor, Fall 2008

ABOUT: Before coming to UM, Maryanne McNellis was a former president of the Los Angeles Times' National Edition. In addition, she served as editorial director for the Financial Post--Canada's leading business and finance newspaper--and was a longtime foreign correspondent and bureau manager for Businessweek Magazine. In the fall of 2008, she taught a course titled, "Follow the Money." Her Pollner lecture detailed the media's coverage of the 2007-08 financial crisis.
