Pollner Professor Tamara JonesABOUT: Pulitzer Prize-winning reporter Tamara Jones has had a long career in journalism, including eight years with the Associated Press, six years working for the Los Angeles Times, and 15 years at the Washington Post, where she shared a Pulitzer for her reporting on the Virginia Tech massacre of 2007. Most recently, she has been working as a freelance writer. While at UM, she taught a course titled "Training the Professional Observer." Her Pollner lecture was called, "The Intimacy of Violence."
