That's So Griz
"That's So Griz" is an experiential onboarding program designed to immerse new and current employees in the breadth of incredible work happening across the university.
Organized around the university’s Priorities for Action, the program offers hands-on activities and interactive sessions to bring these priorities to life. Participants will see and connect with the mission-driven work of units across campus, gaining a big-picture understanding of how their contributions align with the university’s goals.
The program is also designed to be fun—giving employees the chance to explore parts of the university they might not encounter in their regular work. Units hosting sessions are encouraged to make their time as interactive as possible, focusing on showing rather than telling to highlight their work and its impact.
From behind-the-scenes experiences to interactive demonstrations, “That’s So Griz” encourages a deeper understanding of our colleagues’ contributions and appreciation for the amazing things happening across campus.

Campus Art Walk
Have you ever wondered about the sculptures and art pieces you see around UM's campus? Join us for a guided art walk and discover the sculptures and installations from the Montana Museum of Art & Culture (MMAC), along with works from its Permanent Collection – one of the oldest, largest, and deepest art collections in the Rocky Mountain Northwest! Led by a community docent, this tour will highlight and explore the stories, ideas, and history behind UM campus's distinctive artworks.

UC Gardens Tour
Join us for a tour of the University Center (UC) Gardens, a vibrant part of the State of Montana Arboretum (our very own UM campus)!
Led by UC Gardens and Facilities Manager, Sean Helms, we’ll explore the UC Gardens’ three-story indoor atrium, featuring tropical, sub-tropical, and temperate plant species, along with its outdoor perimeter beds showcasing perennials, medicinal plants, vegetables, herbs, and more! Discover the history, science, and intent behind this living laboratory, and learn firsthand how it is maintained and utilized today.
