Interlibrary Loan
Interlibrary loan obtains research materials not owned by the Mansfield Library for faculty, staff and students. We strive to provide the most efficient turnaround time possible for requests. Please check the following resources prior to placing interlibrary loan requests to avoid unnecessary wait time:
- OneSearch – you can place a hold on an item in our or any one of our partner libraries through OneSearch
- Missoula Public Library
- Quick article look-up tool - If you have a DOI or PMID from a citation, use this tool to find the article through a library source. Allows you to easily place an ILL requests if we do not have the item.
- Google Scholar
- WorldCat

Email Notifications
Interlibrary loan notifications are sent via email. To make sure you get all the notifications, please add our email address, library.ill@umontana.edu, to your address book.
Text Message Notifications
To use this service, log in and choose Change User Information from the left hand menu. The 4th field allows you to choose text or email notifications. NOTE: Cell phone service providers may charge for sent or received text messages. By signing up for text notifications, you give Mansfield Library staff permission to contact you via text message. Your privacy is important to us. All text messages sent from the Interlibrary Loan department are directed through standard telecommunication and Internet channels.
