Find Your Engraved Centennial Circle Brick

Welcome to the UM Centennial Circle Brick Finder Page! More than 7,000 bricks have been engraved around UM’s Grizzly Bear statue since 1993, and they become more difficult to locate over time.
The page linked below leads to complete listing of all engraved bricks. Once on that page, click Ctrl + F (on a PC) or Command + F (on a Mac). Then search for known terms on your brick, such as names or inscriptions.
Each engraved brick is listed with a unique code to help you find it. The code has three pieces of information: quadrant, row and degree.
Quadrant is A, B, C or D. A is the quarter nearest the Lodge Dining Center. B is nearest to the Payne Family Native American Center. C is nearest to the Eck Liberal Arts Building. D is closest to Knowles Hall.
Row is the second piece of information in the code. This number lists what row your brick is in. Row 1 is nearest to the Grizzly Bear statue. Row 13 is the current outermost circle of engraved bricks.
Degree is the final important piece of information. The nose of the Grizzly Bear points to 0 degrees. The degrees go clockwise around the brick circle. The tail of the bear statue is at 180 degrees, and 360 returns to the bear’s nose.
These three pieces of information should make your brick easier to find. The picture on this page also should help explain the system. Click the link below to access the database and find your brick and its location code:
