Dr. Griggs is the Associate Director of Bands and Director of Athletic Bands. He teaches the Grizzly Marching Band, UM Pep Band, University Concert Band, Marching Band Techniques, Upper Brass Methods, and Lower Brass Methods. He is an active guest conductor, clinician, and adjudicator throughout Montana and the surrounding states and performs with several ensembles on trumpet.

Dr. Hannah Ransom is a percussionist and music educator whose work has been informed by her passion for contemporary repertoire, immersion in world traditions, and advocacy for diversity in the fields of music performance and composition.
Dr. Ransom is the Interim Professor of Percussion at the University of Montana. She also performs with the Missoula Symphony Orchestra, plays drums and percussion with local bands and chamber ensembles, and serves the area's schools as a percussion coach and festival adjudicator. She received a DMA degree from the University of Arizona, a master's degree from the University of Missouri-Columbia, and bachelor’s degrees in both music education and performance from the University of Montana.

Hi, I am the new Drumline Coordinator for the University of Montana Grizzly Marching Band. I am a percussionist, composer, and educator specializing in drum set, hand drums, marching percussion, and electronic music production. I also serve as Assistant Principal Percussionist with the Missoula Symphony Orchestra. In addition to symphonic work, I collaborate with the UM School of Dance, teach privately, and record as a studio drummer and percussionist. He also teaches music production and beat making. I am excited to work with the Grizzly Marching Band and help develop a strong, musical, and creative drumline program. My hobbies include frisbee golf, hacky sack, beating people at cribbage, and teaching my fur baby Maggie silly acrobatic tricks.
