Training
Integrity and compliance in research funding are ever-changing needs brought to the national forefront in recent months. UM’s Office of Sponsored Programs has worked diligently to follow federal requirements to ensure everyone working on a sponsored (funded) project is trained and compliant. (While we understand your research project may not be federally-funded, UM is choosing a role of “most compliant” in relation to audit compliance and as such, we require every PI and PI-eligible researcher to complete PI Training, RECR training, COI training and Research Security training.)
We utilize the national CITI (Collaborative Institutional Training Initiative) website to house these trainings, as well as IRB/IACUC/IBC-required trainings.

We utilize our campus SSO, where you will “Login through my Institution” and select University of Montana. From there, you will be able to select the training you need to complete. Be sure to use your @umontana.edu email alias if it is your fist time registering, as that will link your certificates directly with Cayuse.
