Step 2: Explore Your Dashboard

Your dashboard gives you a quick overview of:

  • Scholarships currently available
  • Opportunities you may qualify for in the future
  • Action items that need your attention

Use the navigation menu on the left to move between different parts of the scholarship application and awarding process.

Step 3: Complete Matching Questions

Select “Questions” from the left menu. These questions help Scholarship Universe match you to scholarships you qualify for.

  • The more questions you answer, the more scholarships you'll be matched with.
  • You can review or update your answers at any time.

First-time users: You’ll be automatically guided to begin the Matching Questions when you log in.

Returning students: Review last year’s answers in the Questions tab to make sure everything is accurate and up-to-date.

Step 4: Browse Scholarship Opportunities

Select “Scholarships” from the left menu to see all scholarships currently accepting applications. You’ll find several useful tabs:

  • Matches: Scholarships for which you fully qualify
  • Pinned: Opportunities you’ve saved
  • Partial Matches: Scholarships you may qualify for if you provide additional details
  • Application Submitted: Scholarships for which you’ve already applied
  • Awarded: Scholarships you’ve been awarded
  • Non-Matches: Scholarships for which you do not qualify
  • Not Interested: Scholarships you’ve chosen not to pursue

You can click “Apply” on any scholarship in your Matches list to start the application immediately.

Step 5: Apply for Scholarships

Select “Applications” in the left menu. You will see three sections:

  • Ready to Start: Applications you are eligible to complete
  • In Progress: Applications you started but haven’t finished
  • Submitted: Applications successfully submitted

Some applications cover multiple scholarships at once. Click the dropdown arrow to view the specific scholarship names and how many you’re applying for with that single application.
