How to Cancel Housing

To cancel your housing, submit the Housing Cancellation Form. You will need to log in using your NetID and password in order to complete the form. All cancellations must be made by the student and not a parent.

Refunds on Prepayment

Refunds are applied to the student's CyberBear account and go towards any owing balance. If the refund is greater than the balance owing, the remainder will be refunded to the student through the University of Montana refund process.

Renter's Insurance

The UM Housing Office is not responsible for damage to or theft of personal property of residents living in the Residence Halls. Residents are strongly encouraged to obtain their own comprehensive renter's insurance policy for theft and damage of personal property. This insurance is available through any insurance underwriter. Insurance for personal property while on-campus may be available through parents' homeowners’ or renter’s insurance.
