Apply to be an ASUM Senator

At a time where so many changes are being made on our campus it's important to have students engaged and involved and there isn't a better way to do that then to become a Student Senator at Associated Students of the University of Montana (ASUM), YOUR Student Government.

See a problem on campus that you want addressed? Want to be a part of an engaged body of students? Have ideas for improvement? Want to be a part of that change? Apply to be a senator!

We are looking for dedicated students who want to serve and represent all students at UM. Here are a few ways senators effect change on our campus:

  • Through being active members on University Committees
  • Creating internal change on our ASUM Committees

  • Act as a mentor for UM Administration
  • And so much more!

If you have questions about this position or about ASUM please email the ASUM Vice President.

Outside of applying to be a Senator you can also run in the 2024 ASUM election in order to be elected to serve in the 2024-2025 ASUM administration. You can also choose to run for an executive position and campaign as a President/VP candidate with a partner or go solo as a Business Manager candidate.

Elections are held each spring, so keep an eye out for dates and deadlines that are TBA!
