Addional Program Costs

There will be additional costs (above tuition and fees) for the clinical rotations.  Program fee: There is an additional fee of $1186/semester in addition to regular tuition and fees. This fee will help cover the cost of lab equipment, accreditation costs, adjunct teaching, and software. Other fees include criminal background check ($55), vaccinations ($50), NATA membership fee ($70), ATCAS application fee ($90), graduate school application fee ($60), cadaver lab fee ($414).

The MAT curriculum includes training in skills that may require additional certification beyond Athletic Training, including but not limited to Instrument Assisted Soft Tissue Manipulation Technique. The required educational material to sit for these complementary certifications is embedded within the course curriculum; however, additional costs to receive the certifications are expected. These certifications are not mandated, nor will they affect the eligibility to sit for the athletic training certification exam. UMAT Students will receive discounted prices if they choose to obtain these additional certifications. These pricing options may vary and are not controlled by the UM ATP.

WICHE

The UM AT Program participates in the Western Interstate Commission for Higher Education-Western Regional Graduate Program (WICHE-WRGP). This program allows master’s students who are residents of the WICHE member states in programs at 60 participating institutions outside of their home state and pay resident tuition. The WICHE states are Alaska, Arizona, California, Colorado, Hawaii, Idaho, Montana, Nevada, New Mexico, North Dakota, Oregon, South Dakota, Utah, Washington, Wyoming, and the Commonwealth of the Northern Mariana Islands. For additional information, please contact the UM AT Program Director. Students accepted into the WICHE program pay 150% resident tuition.
