Meet the Division of Student Success and Enrollment Management
Here is where we could give an intro to what this page is for. Maybe a group photo from retreat.
Our Team Supports Student Success from Every Angle, Every Day
Our team is dedicated to placed student success at the center of all we do, and achieving our institution's mission of ensuring all students are able to feel like they belong, and have the tools to succeed in their goals. Here are just a few highlights from some of our departments from the last year.
55th Annual Kyiyo Powwow
The Annual Kyiyo Pow Wow Celebration is one of the oldest traditions of Kyiyo. The Annual Pow Wow Celebration unifies all Native Americans from across the nation in an event full of dancing, singing, and sharing of stories between all in attendance. The celebration is a time to preserve the rich heritage of Native Americans and renew the thoughts of the old traditions. The diversity of each tribe represented at our Pow Wow is shown within the dancing styles and traditional dress of the dancers. Although from a wide array of backgrounds, each dancer comes together to celebrate what their culture truly represents. Each year, our Pow Wow continues to grow which shows the power of our people and leaves the message that our culture will never die out.
New Student Success - Supporting Students Through Their First Year
The University of Montana's transition programs provide all the information new incoming students need to successfully begin their journey on campus, and to succeed throughout their entire first year with us. The orientation and transition experience extends beyond course registration; we deliver relevant and informative programming to prepare students for success, and design a variety of opportunities for students to connect with their new peers, current UM students, and the broader campus and Missoula community.
We can't wait to meet you
Highlights from 2023
Office for Student Success
The Office for Student Success is a hub of academic supports for students, such as the Undergradaute Advising Center, Study Jam, TRiO Student Support Services, and the Writing and Public Speaking Center.
In addition, our award winning Financial Education program is also housed under this umbrella and served 1,620 attendees across 80 interactive workshops and FASFA nights in 2023.
Our TRIO and Upward Bound programs supported 65 first-generation and low-income students in their pursuit of higher education. As an access based state flagship institution, it is our mission to ensure all students regardless of their academic preparedness, can access and achieve a higher education.
UM Housing
UM Housing provides safe, clean, healthy and affordable living and learning facilities that foster an inclusive community living environment for students, staff, faculty and guests. UM Housing manages three areas: Residence Halls, Lewis and Clark Village, and University Villages - which provide a variety of housing options for single students, students with dependents, and University guests.
