Montana CHW Committee

A Community Health Worker Committee will meet from December 2023-Fall 2024 to recommend the following for the state of Montana:

  • A MT CHW definition
  • A MT CHW scope of practice
  • A MT CHW code of ethics
  • Recommended Training Requirements

The CHW Committee will host monthly meetings that are open to all CHWs and allied workforces. The schedule of those meetings will be posted here when available.

CHWs in Montana Documentary

This Fall, the Center began production on a documentary about Community Health Workers in Montana. As part of the effort to promote the workforce, educate legislators and decision-makers, and push the conversation about sustainability, the goal of the documentary is to highlight the incredible work that CHWs do across Montana and demonstrate why they are such a critical, untapped workforce in our state.

If you or someone you know may be interested in participating in the documentary or would like more information, please email Grace Wolcott.
