ODE Testing Center

Schedule exams at least 7 days in advance for all exams.

Enter the west entrance of the Aber Hall, go straight past the elevator and restrooms, and then you will see Room 116 located on the right-hand side. The layout image (png).  

Office Hours
Monday - Friday 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. (except holidays) 
* During Final Week, the hours are 8:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m.


  • 15 seats in the group testing rooms that provide a reduced-distraction testing environment 
  • 6 private rooms

Scheduling a test

Paper-based exams

All exams and quizzes must be scheduled at least 7 days in advance.

  1. Download Test Accommodation Form (Word). A hard copy is available in the ODE Testing Center. 
  2. Complete the student section in the Test accommodation form.
    The student section includes:
      - Student Name, phone number, email, student ID, subject & course number, Instructor name
      - Date student will take the exam at Test Center, and Time will start the exam at Test Center
      - Test accommodations, and additional directions

  3. With your verification letter, email your instructor and request testing accommodations.
    Ask the instructor to complete the instructor section and sign the form.
    The instructor section includes:
      - Time allowed in class 
      - Exam delivery
      - Exam return
      - Instructor signature, phone number, date and email

    Retrieve the form from the instructor.

  4. Submit the complete test accommodation form at least 7 days in advance before the exam:  
    Option 1: Email the form to the Testing Center at ode.testing@mso.umt.edu. The instructor should be cc'd in the email. 
    Option 2: Submit a hard copy of the Test accommodation form to the Testing Center. 

Online exams in Moodle

Students do not need to take online exams in the Testing Center unless students require a reader, scribe, or test proctor.

How to receive testing accommodations for online exams:

  • To ensure your test accommodations, email your instructors and notify or remind them in a timely manner. CC (carbon copy) your access consultant on the email. Be sure to provide your verification letter to the instructor.

  • Carefully read emails from your instructors through UMConnect Student Email and Moodle. These emails may contain instructions for the exams. 

If you require a remote proctor, reader, or scribe for online exams, schedule the exam with the Testing Center at least 7 working days in advance.

Scheduling through Accommodate 

  1. Log in to Accommodate.

  2. Click “Testing Room” on the left side of your screen.

  3. Click “New Booking Request.”

  4. Choose the “Course” drop-down list to select the class.

  5. Select date and time by clicking “Select” on the date and time range options.

  6. Select desired day to take the exam. (The exam date should be indicated by the course syllabus or your instructor. Saturdays and Sundays are not available.)

  7. Select accommodations you require for the exam.

  8. Click “Save/Submit.”


  • You may not edit a request once it has been submitted. You may cancel the request or submit a new request if you need any changes.

  • An email will be sent to your instructor requesting approval of this exam booking. You will receive an email when your request has been approved or denied.
