Accounting Information Systems Certificate

The Accounting Information Systems (AIS) certificate prepares undergraduate students for careers that bridge accounting and management information systems, such as consulting, internal audit, external audit, or other positions in which more than a basic knowledge of either accounting or MIS is necessary. While most appropriate for a student majoring in accounting or MIS, this certificate is available to any undergraduate business major.

Due to pre-requisite requirements and course scheduling, meeting with an AIS advisor early is crucial.

Advising

Visit the Advising website for to contact advising, download a copy of your major check sheet, and all your other College of Business advising needs.

Before attending a group advising session or seeing your faculty adviser, be sure to fill out the advising spreadsheet. 

Career Development

COB's Career Development program hosts events to connect employers to students.  The program also provides students with opportunities to learn career skills such as resume writing, interviewing, dining etiquette, networking, how to achieve workplace success, and more.

Internships

Study Abroad

Students are encouraged to participate in courses with international focus and international exchanges or faculty-directed study-abroad courses.

Scholarships

Business students are eligible to receive a College of Business scholarship during their junior and senior year or as a graduate students in the MBA and/or MAcct programs.  The application process opens on December 1.
