Birthday Parties
Have an unforgettable birthday party at spectrUM! Two Live Science Performers will help lead your celebration with hands-on activities in your own private party room. Activities are scaled to the age of the birthday child.
All parties include:
- Registration for up to 25 guests (not including adults and children 3 and under)
- Party room for 1.5 hours
- Museum exploration for the day
- Hands-on activities led by Live Science Performers
- Complimentary plates, cups, forks, spoons, and napkins
- Light decorations

Birthday parties can be scheduled on Saturdays with the following start times:
Morning program: 11:00am
Afternoon program: 2:00pm
Details
Parties will take place at spectrUM's classroom on the 1st floor of the Missoula Public Library, 455 East Main Street. Other spaces may be reserved upon request and based on availability. Caregivers can bring their own food and decorations. Setup and cleanup time are included in the time slot, and guests are expected to have all party supplies packed out by the end of their reservation.Every party includes fun, hands-on activities and science exploration, and plans may be adjusted due to unforeseen circumstances. Facilitated activities will typically run for 30-45 minutes based on the number and age of guests.
Deposit and Cancellation Policy
Deposits
When signing up for a birthday party, 50% of the program fee is required to hold a spot.
- Full payment is preferred.
- Remaining balance is due before the program starts.
Cancellations
If cancellation is made one week in advance, you may
- Transfer into a future program OR
- Receive a credit in the amount of your deposit.
Deposits are non-refundable if cancellation is made within one week of the program start date.
