What to expect
Whether you are just getting started or putting the finishing touches on a project, the Writing Center is a place to think, read, write, revise, and consult with one of our professional tutors. Every visit begins with a conversation about what you are working on, where you are in the process, and what you would like to accomplish. Together, we'll explore ideas, discuss strategies, work through challenges, and identify next steps.
You do not need to have a finished draft to visit us. Many people come with an assignment prompt, a reading, feedback from an instructor, a presentation to practice, or a goal for their work. Others stop by to talk through ideas, make a plan, or get another perspective. Whatever brings you to the Writing Center, we hope you leave with increased confidence and effective strategies that extend beyond a single project.
