Dennison Presidential Faculty and Staff Awards for Distinguished Accomplishment

Every spring, the Dennison Awards recognize distinguished faculty and staff who have brought excellence, merit, and distinction to the University of Montana. The Faculty Award honors faculty whose accomplishments have brought significant recognition to the University at the regional and national levels. The Staff Award recognizes a distinguished accomplishment within the employee's work unit that lends luster to the University of Montana. A $1500 prize accompanies each award.

STAFF AWARD

Who is eligible:

A classified staff member who has

  • Completed five years of employment at the University of Montana prior to the date of nomination

Who may nominate:

Any UM employee or community member

Nomination Requirements:

  • Two letters of support describing how the candidate lends luster to the University of Montana.

Selection process:
Selection is made by the President, Vice Presidents and Chief of Staff.

FACULTY AWARD

Who is eligible:

Tenure-track professor or full-time research professor who has

  • Completed five years of employment at the University of Montana prior to the date of nomination

Who may nominate:

  • Any UM employee or community member
