Robert T. Pantzer Presidential Humanitarian Award

The Robert T. Pantzer Presidential Humanitarian Award is granted annually to a person who has contributed substantially to making the University a more open and humane learning environment.

The award honors Robert T. Pantzer, President of the University from 1966 to 1974, whose open-door policy was a hallmark of his administration, and who provided outstanding leadership in the preservation of unfettered academic inquiry and expression.

All persons from the University of Montana or the State of Montana

Nomination Requirements:

  • Submittable nomination form, which includes space to enter 3-5 statements of support from other individuals

Selection Process:

Nominations will be reviewed by the Pantzer Award Committee. The committee makes recommendations to the Provost, who selects the award recipient.
