Outstanding Service to the Campus Community Award

Note: Following the 2024 Week of Excellence, this award will transition to a new award that will be presented multiple times a year. More information about this new award, called the Might of Montana Award, will be shared in May. A 2024 Outstanding Service to the Campus Community Award winner will be selected and awarded at the Week of Excellence Employee Celebration Breakfast.

The Outstanding Service to the Campus Community Award recognizes UM employees who serve the campus community and fellow UM employees in an exemplary manner. The award comes with a $500 prize.

Who is eligible:
Any staff member, contract professional or employee on a letter of appointment.

Who may nominate:
Any faculty, staff, administrator or off-campus individual.

Nomination requirements:

  • Nomination form (link below)
  • Nomination letter detailing why the nominee meets the intent of the award
  • 1-3 statements of support from other employees (can be included in the primary nomination letter)

Selection process:
Selection is made by a committee appointed by the University of Montana President.
