Student Health Insurance Plan (SHIP)
Graduate students can enroll in the Student Health Insurance Plan (SHIP) through Blue Cross Blue Shield (BCBS) by completing the Change Student Insurance Selection form.
For graduate students enrolled on campus, SHIP can be used alongside the Health Services Fee to access services at Curry Health Center. SHIP coverage activates each semester once your tuition bill has been finalized. Learn more about SHIP coverage and prices here.
Distance-only students: You may enroll in SHIP by completing the Change Student Insurance Selection form. Because distance students do not pay the Health Services Fee, SHIP can be used with local in-network BCBS providers. To use SHIP benefits at Curry Health Center, you must also opt in to the Health Services Fee. Learn more about access for Distance-Only Students here.
Quick Guide
- On-campus graduate students: SHIP + Health Services Fee = access to Curry Health Center services and SHIP benefits.
- Distance-only graduate students: SHIP = use with local in-network BCBS providers. Add the Health Services Fee to access Curry Health Center services.
