Funding for 12- to up to 52-weeks of funding to study abroad in a non-Western country. Applicants are selected based on their project’s applicability to national security (broadly defined) and their commitment to a career in public service. Boren award recipients are required to commit to one year of federal service after graduation and receive job search support. University endorsement is required.
