Benjamin A. Gilman International Scholarship

Funding for three-weeks to one-year study abroad in a country with a critical need language. Interested applicants should look at the Gilman website to make sure their study country is eligible. Awards are given to students who meet the financial need criteria and who demonstrate a commitment to proficiency of one of the critical need languages. Grantees also receive post-program job search support to help them meet the federal service requirement. Dependents of active military, including activated reserves, should also see the Gilman-McCain Award. Students should notify the Office of Prestigious Scholarships & Fellowships of their application so applicants can get proper certification.
