Workshop for New Teaching Assistants
New TAs are expected to complete the online New TA Orientation training on Moodle, which you can access with your NetID. That course introduces you to policies you will need to know about as employees of the institution (Health and Safety, Educational and Student Conduct Policies), as well as resources and support in student services to which it will be important for you to direct students. The course also introduces you to on-campus and online resources in support of your pedagogical development, and lectures from previous orientations from professors sharing their "Teaching Tips" (Those videos can also be accessed below).
We strongly encourage all graduate student teachers to explore the range of resources gathered by the Office of Organizational Learning and Development, which cover a range of specific topics.
