Eligibility Overview

When you Complete Part 1	What you can expect
by December 1	Applications with Part 1 completed by December 1 will be eligible for Roommate Matching and Phase 1 of Room Selection (earliest room selection time slots)
December 2 - March 15	Applications with Part 1 completed during this timeframe will be eligible for Roommate Matching and Phase 1 of Room Selection
March 16 - May 1	Applications with Part 1 completed during this timeframe will not be eligible for Roommate Matching. These students will be eligible for Phase 2 of Room Selection.
after May 1	Applications with Part 1 completed after May 1 will not be eligible for Roommate Matching or Room Selection. UM Housing will assign a room based on availability.

Roommate Matching Deadlines

When you Complete Part 1	What you can expect
by March 15	Roommate Matching (Part 2) opens on March 15 at 2 pm Roommate Matching closes on May 4 at 2 pm
on or after March 16	You are no longer eligible to participate in Roommate Matching.

Room Selection Deadlines

When you Complete Part 1	What you can expect
by December 1	Room Selection-Phase 1 (Part 3) opens on April 5 at 2 pm (earliest time slots) Room Selection-Phase 1 closes on May 4 at 5 pm
December 2 - March 15	Room Selection-Phase 1 (Part 3) opens on April 5 at 2 pm Room Selection-Phase 1 closes on May 4 at 5 pm
March 16 - May 1	Room Selection-Phase 2 (Part 3) opens on May 5 at 2 pm Room Selection-Phase 2 closes on June 1 at 5 pm
after May 1	Not eligible for Room Selection. UM Housing will assign a room based on availability.

Living Learning Communities will be available to preference in the application process on March 15.
