Students will need to either show the barcode emailed to them in August or log in to the myHousingPortal on their phone and show the barcode to check-in. Students will also need to show a picture ID to check in.

New students should submit a photo for their Griz Card online. Residents will receive more information regarding how to download their mobile Griz Card later this summer. This will be a new for Fall 2023, which means they will not have to wait in line to receive it and can arrive on campus ready to go. For more information regarding the Griz Card, visit the Griz Card Center website or email the Griz Card Center. 

The student’s Griz Card will provide access to the front door of their residence hall. If they do not have their Griz Card yet, students should request an outdoor access card after checking-in to use until they get their Griz Card. Outdoor access cards are meant to be temporary and should be returned within 7 days.

Please note that only the student can check into their room. Parents cannot check in or pick up keys for students.
