Available Scholarships

Beyond 1-2-Free Scholarship

At the University of Montana we automatically will cover the tuition for your first two classes, you do not need to do anything else. But what happens after you have used your first two classes? Through the 1-2-Free Program we have a tuition scholarship that can cover tuition above and beyond your first two classes.

To be eligible students must be a current High School or Home School student AND enrolled in only 100 or 200 level courses. Additionally, the student or someone in their household must be participating in one or more of these eligible government assistance programs:

  • Receive Free or Reduced Lunch
  • Montana Healthy Kids or Medicaid
  • Receive SNAP or WIC benefits
  • Receive TANF or SSI benefits
  • Receive a Section 8 Housing Voucher
  • A Head Start Program
  • McKinney-Vento Participant

Students only need to apply once per year for this scholarship. 

MCPS - Montana Advanced Opportunity Scholarship

Missoula County Public Schools Students - 

Have you already taken your first two classes with UM? Are you taking a Dual Enrollment Career and Technical Education course or a Dual Enrollment math course this Spring? If you answered yes to those questions then MCPS has a scholarship for you! Thanks to the Montana Advanced Opportunity Grant MCPS received they will cover your tuition for any CTE and/or Math courses, this includes courses at your high school, online, or on one of our campuses. W.J. Gallagher Missoula College Scholarship

Entering Missoula College Freshman or High School Senior Scholarship!

Are you an incoming Missoula College freshman from Western MT or a current Western MT high school senior who could use some extra help paying for tuition and supplies? The W.J. Gallagher scholarship offers free scholarship assistance in the form of a $500 scholarship. This scholarship is awarded on a first-come first-served basis so the earlier you apply the better as funds are limited.
