Featured Image Content

The Featured Img Content block highlights a single item with a photo and text. You provide a photo, headline, short paragraph and an optional link (with link text).

Create a Featured Image Content block

  1. Create the block.
    1. Click Add Content in the Top Menu Bar.
    2. Select Blocks > Row Blocks > Featured Img Content.
  2. Featured Img Content.
    1. Select Type.
      1. Light - This will create maroon text on a white background.
      2. Dark - This will create white text on a maroon background.
    2. Image - Navigate to and select your image. Image should be 630px by 410px. You can upload any size image and Cascade will automatically size the image for you.
    3. Image Scale Focus - If your image needs to be cropped, in this field you can tell Cascade where to start the crop.
    4. Image Alt Text - Add descriptive text of the image for those using a screen reader - please note that this is a legal requirement.
    5. Mobile Image - Navigate to and select an image that will display on mobile devices - 320px by 320px.
    6. Mobile Alt Text - Add descriptive text of the image for those using a screen reader - please note that this is a legal requirement.
    7. Heading - Enter the main heading for the content. This is required.
    8. Sub Head - Optional subheading.
    9. Content Enter the text that you want to display next to the image.
    10. Link? - Add an optional internal or external link. 

    Keep in mind the amount of text you add to the Heading, Sub Head, and Content can stretch the block in unintended ways causing your image to distort. Removing some characters from these fields can solve this issue. 

    1. Submit.
      1. When you have added all the content, click the blue Preview Draft button in the top right of the editing window. 
      2. Then click the blue Submit button in the top right of the editing window.
    2. Attach the block to your page.
      1. Select or create the Row you want to attach the Block to.
      2. Set the Row Content Type to Row Block.
      3. Click the Choose Block button in the Block field and navigate to and select the Block you just created.
      4. Click the blue Choose button in the top right.
